In a previous century, I'd respond to a comment like the one you quoted with something like: "Well, unlike what code-monkeys do, writing actually works better when it's preceded by some thinking."
But........ it turns out that I actually think better via my fingers twiddling a keyboard. Don't ask me to have an important conversation, wherein ideas are developed via verbal exchange. Won't happen. But the same conversation via e-mail will get all kinds of ideas and insights from me, complete with supporting reasoning, alternative viewpoints, etc. I'm not totally lacking in social and basic conversational skills, but I am definitely the poster boy for "Dammit! If only I'd thought to say..." Shoulda, woulda coulda. :-) Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of Dori Green > Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2007 13:45 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [TCP] Telecommuting has mostly positive consequences > > Sigh, I'm counting it a major victory that I've managed to move us past > "if her fingers ain't moving on the keyboard she can't be writing". > > Consideration of telecommuting is far down the road. > > Dori Green > > ______________________________________________ The information contained in this electronic mail transmission may be privileged and confidential, and therefore, protected from disclosure.
