I received this from the OSOL open source captcha program for Joomla regarding its use with Community Builder (CB). I edited it for grammar and puncutation, but include the original below in case I edited too much . . .
You are using Community Builder for registration. CB is not part of core joomla. This captcha will not auto add-in non-core joomla forms. To have this captcha appear in the CB registration form, you need to add the code block mentioned in the documentation page http://www.outsource-online.net/osol-captcha-for-joomla.html I don't know where exactly that code is to be addedmm but I think it's in \components\com_comprofiler\plugin\templates\default\default.phpas mentioned in https://www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,38/func,view/id,86024/catid,70/ Let me know if that works. If you don't want the cpatch to appear in your registration form, but want to avail protection from spam,you can use botscoutoptions. Please read the documentaion regarding this before enabling botscout options.
