One more thing to worry about: doubling the battery capacity in amp-hours or equivalent won't necessarily double the endurance time, particularly at light loads. I think (but IANAEE) this is due to conversion overhead, etc., that has a significant fixed component. Spec your system for endurance at a given load, not just in batteries, or you'll be sorry.
As for lead-acid, you may also be looking for so-called deep-cycle batteries. (Not sure how AGM fits into this.) Some ham radio repeaters and other similar stations use these for emergency-power systems, those with solar input, etc., where the expectation is occasional, but extended, outages, not merely hiccups, and no gen-sets on the mountaintop. _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
