Recycle bin. Not worth it. Similar to the "making your own patch cords" discussion earlier. Going back to that (because I was too busy to respond earlier)-- there was a cute article I read years ago that was for sysadmins and network managers (and for the life of me, I can NOT find it any more)-- the article essentially had the phrase "Check the cable" every other sentence.
