I've done several DRs with a system similar to this (monthly level 0, weekly 2-8), some of them at 4am. I've never made an error on tape ordering. The dates of the full and incrementals are well documented and you just sit down for a few minutes and review over a much needed coffee before kicking off. It really isn't that bad. I've always done DRs alone (non sysadmins were around but they couldn't help). Doing this in a group would be even easier as someone else would be available to check your working. The approach has a lot of advantages too. Some have been espoused in this thread. > I would really try to get the number of levels down. And, for a I wish dump had more than 10 levels. Seriously. Cheers, Rob -- I tried to change the world but they had a no-return policy _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
