I've done several DRs with a system similar to this (monthly level 0, 
weekly 2-8), some of them at 4am.  I've never made an error on tape 
ordering.

The dates of the full and incrementals are well documented and you just 
sit down for a few minutes and review over a much needed coffee before 
kicking off.  It really isn't that bad.

I've always done DRs alone (non sysadmins were around but they couldn't 
help).  Doing this in a group would be even easier as someone else would 
be available to check your working.

The approach has a lot of advantages too.  Some have been espoused in this 
thread.
