I don’t get this. Who is shunning you? Just because others have different priorities that does not mean that they’re shunning you, as you put it. Seems to me that there’s a touch of paranoia creeping in here. :)
|As for development, that’s good. But just because others opt to go other routes means nothing. In terms of the Pi®, I have read stuff about it here and there and, come a time when I’m not so busy with other little things like work, broadcasting, and various other things, I may well look seriously at the project. But right now I don’t really think there would be much advantage to me personally from becoming involved. I don’t need a DAISY player, I have them on a number of platforms. In fact, one can even publish DAISY now from within Windows without having to chew on with OpenOffice and assorted plug-ins. The DAISY Consortium has now released their own publisher which works very well actually. Dolphin Computer Access used to be the only realistic publishing solution on Windows until OBI came along. But I’m getting off the point. The point here is that yes, the project has interest. But I’m puzzled by your outlook on this to be honest. After all, we were promised by a number of people that when we got our broadcasting project off the ground they would join us. But that has not happened. Are they shunning us? Of course not. They just have their own priorities and interests. That’s fair enough. At this time I have no intention of becoming involved with RP. Why? It’s very simple really.
