Here is Nick's replay to me about MTU settings:

We need 1518+28 (GTP) + 28(GRE) =1574 in your S1 path.  The UE can be
configured for 1560 and endpoints (PCs) set at default 1500.  Also eNodeB
and EPC must be most recent (4013/729) and UE at .105 (configured for 1600
MTU)
