Thanks for the valuable observations. I was also thinking that for every versions of tesseract-ocr will not able to build in separate locations for exe and tessdata whereas in WinXP it is possible to have different versions of exe and tessdata in separate locations. Thus not more than one of the versions of tesseract should be able to work in Linux. Am I correct? With regards, -sriranga(77yrsold)
