Hi all,
I'd like to add a few notes to that OpusTeX thread:
1. One of the big side-steps from MusiXTeX Andreas wanted to do is to
remove the collect coding of noteheads, i.e. no \qu{cdef}.
2. Among the syntax cleanup, OpusTeX is also considerably faster.
As the author of the PS slurs, ties and crescendo addon I could say
this: If there is anyone willing to adapt the opusps.tex to MusiXTeX,
just tell me, I can support this effort. I am not using MusiXTeX, so I
have no motivation to do this, but I know it would be a big improvement
for MusiXTeX community. And not very hard to do - you do not have to
know anything about PostScript...
As for the disappointment Erwin wrote about - in one of his scores there
once appeared a bug causing division by 0 in the resulting PS code. But
I was not able to reproduce this bug, so I can't fix it.
If there is someone bold enough, let me know.
Stanislav Kneifl.
