I have tried to install the Type1-fonts into my teTeX distribution
(version 1.0.7, Mandrake Linux, probably identical to RedHat), but I
just can't make it work. The PDF and PostScript output is simply garbled
with wrong fonts, and it looks as if some weirdo has been playing around
with a typewriter instead of a readable score. Both dvips and dvipdf
selects the wrong font for the note symbols.
Since I don't know TeX very well (I can use it pretty well, but I don't
know how to play around with its configuration files) I guess I have
done something wrong, but I don't know what. I followed Takanori
Uchiyama's brief instructions (copying font files, font maps and editing
"updmap"), but I must have done something wrong.
Any suggestions?
