There's also some general wisdom about Linux file locations in Christian's recent HOWTO, not just in the section on Type 1 fonts: http://icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk/software/musixtex/musixtex-for-unix.h tml#TOC12 Did you remember to run texhash or equivalent? At some point in one or more of my 4 installations, in desperation I went into the .map file and put in an explicit path to every single .pfb file (and it made things work). But I don't think I needed to do that in tetex (Linux), only in creaky old emtex in DOS. --Don Simons PS I don't know if you Europeans have been following the world series (baseball championship) but if you haven't, some pretty amazing stuff has happened: In the six games so far, the home team has won every one. First Arizona pulled ahead 2-0, decisively. Then New York won 3 in a row, the last 2 by tying the score with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth with a 2-run home run, both against the same relief pitcher. Then Arizona won game 6 in a laugher, 15-2 or something. This all sets up today's deciding game 7. I only mention this because of the eerie aura of destiny surrounding the New York effort, in light of the recent events. I'm not a baseball fan at all, but today I'm torn between watching the clincher or attending a keyboard concert by a friend of mine. _______________________________________________ TeX-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sunsite.dk/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
