In all honesty it depends on the warranty.  Office Depot tends to cover
things that the manufacturer's warranty doesn't, like surge protection.  I
am not trying to sound like a corporate zombie but a lot of the plans we
sell actually have some value behind them.  For example a Premium Accidental
Damage and Handling plan not only covers drops, breaks, spills and screen
damage but also has a one time battery replacement built in for laptops.
