Believe me I am right there with you. Because of the economy Office Depot is getting really, really desperate to get any kind of profit into the store. There is so much pressure right now to sell these plans and services and I totally agree with you about the fact that some salesman and woman are kind of shady in pushing the plans. I am very upfront with my guys that they need to be honest. If a customer asks, "Well, can't I make the recovery discs myself?" I say yes because they can. OD got in trouble a few years back for being less than honest in their sales tactics.
I am sure if I ever find other work that I will be just as jaded. Hell, I am jaded towards customer service in general right now.
