After reading a little about the Amazon Kindle Fire, and quite frankly being attracted to that $200 price point, I'd like to hear other geek's thoughts. We had a previous thread about the announcement, but that was almost exclusive to reading digital comics. If I get a Kindle Fire, I wouldn't be using it primarily for a comic reader. I'd be using it more as they advertise (books, movies, browsing). I don't have a smart phone, so I would be using this tablet for many of the things other people use their smart phones for.
Pros: - Most of the "pros" are all over their website, so I'm not going to rehash those here. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051VVOB2/ - I don't have a smart phone, so I would gain a lot of functionality (plus a much bigger screen than a smart phone). - Price is only $200 - No reoccurring monthly expense (uses Wireless instead of 3G) Cons: - A 7 inch screen isn't ideal as a comic book reader, or possibly magazines - Limited to wireless, not connected at all times like other 3G devices Other thoughts?
