My advice would be to wait three months. Windows 7 will be out in
October. In my experience, the "free" upgrades never work quite right
without an enormous amount of fiddling and frustration.
The prices for new systems have come down so much it hardly pays to buy
used any more. You didn't mention how much you'd like to spend.
