This morning when I got up, there was a message about IP address conflict. I clicked okay and everything was fine. This has happened before but I'm not sure what to make of it.
DHCP addresses are assigned in range 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.149, and we have a printer with a static IP at 192.168.1.50 My router reports the X300 at .100, the T41p at .101, an ATA (VoIP) at .102, and the X300 at .103 again (same MAC address). There should also be a TiVo wireless adapter in there, not sure why it isn't. I know that yesterday the ATA was at .103 as I was logging in to configure it. Don't know what the X300 and T41p were at yesterday. Is there anything in the X300 or T41p that might be causing this? Or is it more likely the router (Linksys WRT55AG)? At first I wondered if the Access Connections error was leaving the X300 disconnected, and for some reason trying to get a new number ta 9:22:39 (I didn't click away the error until about noon). But the 9:22:39 error (re: 101) refers to the X300's MAC address (9D) and the 9:22:43 error (re: .100) refers to a conflict with the T41p's MAC address (2B). Do these errors mean the X300 tried to get .101 but was refused, then was told .100 was a conflict with the T41p (though the X300 has .100 now)? The router still shows the X300 having both .100 and .103 though ipconfig shows the X300 having .103.
