Andrew,

Some things to consider:

1) Is the firmware for the WRT55AG up to date? I had any number
of problems getting a T43p, Apple iMac, and ethernet connected
canon printer to work together at home until Linksys, Apple, and
IBM all fixed various firmware/software/driver problems. Very
frustrating for a long time for items that were all supposed to
meet standards that ensured operation together. Access connections
was troublesome for a long time as was faulty Linksys firmware.
Apple had issues in the firmware of the wifi card. Same for
software drivers for the IBM (Intel) and Apple wifi cards.

2) Are the ethernet and wifi drivers and the Access Connections
at the latest version for your computer? (see above)

2) Can you set your Linksys to always give issue a particular
IP to a particular MAC address? That way your computers would
get a consistent IP address at home but still use DHCP to get
an address at home or any other location.
