I think the HD is about 3 years old, I'd have to check my records but
I believe it came with 60GB, later upgraded to 100GB and then the
current 250GB drive. My records show I bought the T41p in March 2004
so >6 years old now, good estimating! :)

As I just posted in another reply, I managed to get a limited backup
(of the important stuff) done, then ran the CHKDSK. No errors but not
more message. I'm hoping that's the end of it. :)
