I have now purchased an M-14 keyboard with TrackPoint IV (01K1260) from eBay seller montana4me. The keyboard is NIB/NOS, manufacturing date was week 38 of 1998. Total cost: keyboard 90 USD, shipping to Europe 39 USD, customs 16.89 EUR.

The keyboard is heavy, but doesn't have the buckling spring keys. It comes with a dual PS/2 cable, which connects to my desktop PC via an *active* PS/2-to-USB converter. The combo works without any additional drivers, and I also haven't been able to install dedicated drivers for the TrackPoint. The drivers intended for this keyboard are for PS/2, and the drivers for the USB spacesaver keyboard with TrackPoint install but don't become effective, probably because the "USB Composite Device" is different from the one in the spacesaver keyboard. It would be nice to have the TrackPoint control panel with some tweeking options, but the device also works fine with the standard mouse drivers.

Concerning the touch and feel of keyboard and trackpoint, I couldn't be more satisfied. The only minor issues are the lack of a middle mouse button and the absence of volume keys, which I do find quite handy.

Cheers
Alban

I see. I don't know if I've ever used an M14.

I once considered buying one of the spacesavers; they seem perfect,
except for the lack of palmrest.

The difference seems to be that the M-14 has a TrackPoint IV (with
negative inertia etc.) whereas the M-13 only has the Trackpoint II.

There is also another IBM keyboard with the Trackpoint IV, but without
a number pad:

Spacesaver II (28L3644/37L0888 US English)

These seem to be even harder to find than the M-14s and cost around
200 USD new (NOS).

The trackpoints on the desktop keyboards (even the genuine IBM) have a
vastly inferior feel to the ones on the laptops. On my M13s with *very*
careful adjustment of the mouse settings I can make it acceptable (but
then any regular mouse I have attached at the same time will zoom all
over the place).
