I second the motion.

Upgrading to Windows 7 or Downloading to Windows XP Professional with
Presentation Director give you more options that what you now have.  Costly,
but I can almost guarantee that Windows 7 will improve your life in a myriad
of ways.   W7 is Faster, more stable, and once you get to know it, a much
easier set of choices all around.   With VISTA you are just dealing with a
dead and buried operating system from which you will never learn any thing
additional that is  useful.   There is a strange simplicity with Windows
7that enables you and your Thinkpad to work together, improving as you go.
