Make no mistake: T420S will leave any T61 in a trail of dust in any aspect of performance. They are worlds apart.

That's the big advantage of the Intel Core i7 -- lower power consumption = longer battery life. They are pricey however. Watch out for the lowball prices at the office supply stores: they include a mandatory data service subscription via cell phone networks. "Real" price without the subscription is higher.
