I own three Panasonics for my own use, and have two issued by my employer, including CF-31 which is the last 4:3 laptop standing in the 16:9 world...
They are splendid machines in their own right, but extremely different from ThinkPads. I've been using them for years and still have my gripes with some of their features. They are a horror to work on. Build quality is top notch no matter where one went to school, though. Great, for my last two laptop purchases, my employer was urging me to go with the Panasonic Toughbook because of the nature of my work but I "stuck to my guns" and my beloved Thinkpads. My reasons for customer loyalty are getting narrowed down each year it would seem. :( Dave -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Paul Khoury Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2012 10:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] New computer suggestions And for the curious: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57435504-93/lenovo-dumps-classic-keyboard-o n-new-thinkpad-laptops/ _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2012 20:14 To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] New computer suggestions The last ones with conventional keyboards are the *20 series...
