You must bear in mind that you are not really changing the size of the
image, only the appearance of size. You should only use it if you
don't have access to the image.  An un-resized image from a camera can
be very large indeed. Depending on the megapixels, humongous.  They
will serious affect loading times.

I did a regular HTML web site for a company and once they started
maintaining it themselves, adding employees photos into my set-size
image box straight from a camera, they brought it to a standstill.
