Aha! I now see what has confused me: [image: tabort.png] The UI doesn't really show any link to the tiddler and the titles are not set to display as links so I assumed that the link I saw above the title was a link to it - it does read the same at a quick glance - so I've been pulling the wrong tiddler into my TW repeatedly.
