Hans Looking at the telegraph code I recall a discussion on hexadecimal conversion led me to consider translating numbers, specifically decimal serial numbers to one with a large base formed from 0-9 a-z A-Z just to reduce the characters needed. If a number is unique in decimal it will be unique in base 62 only shorter.
Although in the discussion about fragments we are talking about a field or attribute of a tiddler. A serial number adheres to the rule. Related to the key (the title) the whole key and nothing but the key. Regards Tony -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
