Purely for your interest ... I grew up in the UK in Leicestershire always next to rivers or canals, or living on boats, for the first decade of my life. "TIDDLERS", the fish shoals, were everywhere. They like "shallows" ... the edges of waterways---or spill pools near wiers. I had intimate knowledge of them decades before Tiddlywiki.
