Now might be a good time to raise an approach which I've heard vocalised by several people, but which may have not hit this list. TiddlyWiki has a number of features which comes from it being a development environment, a platform which we owe to developers such as the prolific Eric, and the massive existing user base, to keep stable. However to a jQuery developer, TiddlyWiki has a number of interesting features such as saving, editing and wikifying which they would like to see as jQuery plugins. A core available series of jQuery plugins means such developers would be able to cherry pick features and assemble them independently, by hand, with 'cook' or using TiddlyWeb. I've seen similar discussion in the past, relating to the idea of a micro-kernel TW. I think that fell down due to the high level of interdependence between TW features and a need to maintain backwards compatability. I think both of these issues have moved on somewhat since then. So maybe we're at a good point to formulate a roadmap for TiddlyWiki core development with a commitment to support the existing, stable, maintained product with a high degree of backwards compatability, and offer a set of "roll your own" TiddlyWiki possibilities from TW core features packaged as jQuery plugins for the future?
