Boolean handling provided by MatchTagsPlugin only applies *within* a 
[tag[...]] filter.  What Tobias is discussing is syntax in between filter 
terms (which can be any kind of filter, not just [tag[...]]).  Technically 
speaking, there wouldn't be any ambiguity if similar syntax were used 
there.  Even so, I'm not sure what the right symbol(s) should be.
