Absolutely agree. But I think that is not, or should not, get you bogged 
down. Its a very complicated issue entering characters not on a keyboard 
with LOTS of solutions, both specific to TW and more general OS/hardware 
setuos. The issue is finding, ideally, One Universal Approach that is 
cross-platform & cross-cultural, mobile, tablet & desktop. Despite lots of 
work on this over long time for TW a common path for all has not yet been 
fully laid out. Maybe for a different thread to explore?

FWIW, so far your v .5 on Windows  10 tablet (with either on screen 
keyboard or a type-cover keyboard) works well using either the buttons or 
the defined keyboard shortcuts (ctrl-0 & ctrl-9). But I think to get it 
working on all platforms might need more thought later?
