ipv8 and ipv16 were, if I remember right, the "just use 8 bytes" of
address space (more or less IPv4 semantics mapped into 8 bytes rather
than 4) and IPv16 was what IPv6 is called now, with 16-bytes with
semantics between IPv4 and IPv6.
