firstly, sorry for my english and I hope that you will understand what I write. secondly there is no problem, there are just solutions.
I try to contribute a little bit on the french forum and sometimes on the general. I give time because my company don't have money to pay (not enough) As every new user (for me there is 3 months), I was very lost because it was hard to find tools, documentation for installation, configuration, modules and developpement. I have do it but I have spend a lot of time and for the company today, time is money. Now it's very better but I think it's not suffisant, not just for me (because I'm curious and I can eventually find a solution) but also for people which discover openerp and for little or middle company, which have not necessary a lot of time and money to give for developpement, a lot of informaticians with some experience in th ERP world and programming. For this why not create a system of donation even if it is to give a few euros or dollars like a lot of opensource program (without touch the current marketting system of openerp) ? I'm agree with Fabien when He says that somebody can not become an ERP expert with just having read one book, but with my personnal experience and on the forum (I try to resolve problems of others and I become a little less null everyday), I can say that new users don't know that there is a book, launchpad, addons extra addons ..., what and where are the different tools for programming, they don't know that some modules of the v4 can't be used in the v5, how many are really fonctionnal or usable or certified or which have bug ..... I think also as already write that there is too difference between linux and windows, I don't know how many server (material) are installed with windows, but I think that openerp lose money with this policy. But I know that the migration is hard, that the team work hard, just be patient, but what are company and people which can be patient ? What are the delay to solve a bug? Who programming modules in extra addons and solve bug ...
