HI: Impossible for me today meeting you today on IRC, but I would like to comment some proposed points...
2. Working Together 2.1. What do you think about Launchpad ? Complicated to find something there. It's not user friendly. 2.5. Any idea on how to increase the community of Open ERP ? Windows users are a little bit abandoned. Yes... there is a good allinone package available, but most of documentation is for Linux users. 2.6. The community resources moved to Open Object what do you think ? I thing it's complicated enough for newbies and potential clients understanding openERP to go into open object. First, we need controlling openERP... open object is second level knowledge. 3. Open ERP Development 3.1. Working with Launchpad / Bazaar. Is it clear ? Do you use LP or others ? 3.2. What the suggested development environment ? I would like to know how installing a good development environment for windows developers, including examples and a very easy development module to learn step by step at less how solving most common errors. There is nothing (or I couldn't find it) out there... As windows user, I would like to be able not only reporting bugs but giving the solution. 4.2. Who wants to contribute in translations of the software ? I wouldn't mind contribute in spanish translations. I think there is a launchpad branch for that. 4.3. Is it easy and clear on how to work ? Not so much. I asked precisely that a couple of days ago on spanish forum. People answered very quick so it is solved. 5. Documentations 5.1. What should be improved ? technical guide, user doc ? EVERYTHING!!!!! From the beginning. For newbies users, programmers, for people who begins it's quite difficult. We are working on this on Spanish community. 5.2. Someone proposed to keep the old Wiki ? Why ? There is no technical way to contribute. Someone wants to write some documentation and he/she does... easy, simple... 6. Looking for contributors: 6.3. Translating the books Building new documentation... In openerpsite, we are building some very very easy use video tutorials. Maybe they are even silly for community developers... but final customers need that kind of documentation. They know nothing, but nothing about openerp. Most of them even don't know what an ERP is. We must give them the opportunity to test the application and make them understand the benefits of using openERP on their companies. ------------------------ Manuales, Videotutoriales de OpenERP en http://www.openerpsite.com -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=33138#33138 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
