Licensing and sharing are 2 separated issues.
Unfortunately, this is not true for GPL3, which includes the "Affero" clause. ie. if you *use* the code in one of the customers, it is considered sharing. Anyway, Tiny had seemed to agree in the past that limiting the scope of OpenERP with the GPL3 is not their intention. I have been waiting for Tiny to officially state that they do allow proprietary licenses in modules. Of course, under the condition that those who write proprietary modules will contribute back things and only use special licenses where they have no other option from their business needs. It is in Tiny's discretion (and those names listed in osv, orm's copyrights) to consider that GPL must be enforced (or not) to modules. Personally, I believe that enforcing GPL will severely limit the application of OpenERP and would just make us switch to another ERP. -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=44848#44848 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
