Hello. Sorry my English is not very good, and sometimes I m so straight with my answers, i ask for you take my words in the better way.
When you said: > -I have posted 5 different questions in forums, and have never any responses > to any of them. I take a little time in see all your questions because is an important point of view for newbies. I need to recommend to everybody on this forum that is considered by themselves "newbie" check this link first: http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html I check all your questions and "all answers" are availables on doc.openerp.com, please check this in depth before make questions because you will be ignored the major part of community if them considered this are answered on documentation. > -I made several unsuccessful attempts over 2 days to download the free e-book > but kept getting a php script error. Whats worse is that I actually got a > "thank email" from OpenERP thanking me for downloading the book. I replied to > the email saying that I could not download it, but have still not gotten a > response back from them after 3 days. This appears to be fixed now but I was > never notified that they were even trying to fix it! > Please check this search on google: "download documentation sources of openerp" The 6th result said: "OpenERP Documentation in Launchpad" With this you can port all the documentation to any format.... > -The online demo does NOT work! I even posted that in the forum but I guess > none of the developers read the forum posts. The best and worst of openERP is the speed of development. It is so commun take the demos broken sometimes, but there are a lot of partners that have openerp running with specific demos on them webpages, please check it.! > -I sent emails to 7 different OpenERP partners in the USA, UK & Canada, > requesting quotes an installation help. Only ONE replied back to me (thank > you NovaPointGroup.com ) You didn't try Venezuela ;-) but is true we pass for this problem the first time even TinyERP, but we insit and we received answer. It is so commun, we are less people that the actual demmand of openERP and sometimes if you are not explicit in your requirements probably you will be ignored. In our expirence, the curve in learning OpenERP in a functional way is very plain, you need to contact support if you want start quickly, or read all the documenation before make specific questions, and please check the link..... I can advise to you to follow this guidelines because in other way you will end furstrated, and is not the objective ;-) Regards. ------------------------ Nhomar Hernandez CTO at http://openerp.netquatro.com -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=55596#55596 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
