This discussion brings to mind a similar approach of long-distance analysis and psychological profiling, based on what in law would be called questionable and unfounded "hearsay," preconceived beliefs, not to mention deliberate concoctions and distortions, about Adolf Hitler by Walter Langer, a noted psychoanalyst of the time when he was working in the OSS during WW II, in his "The Mind Of Adolf Hitler." It was touted as a revelation of "the real Adolf Hitler." In fact, the book probably reflected more of a profiling of Langer and his biased preconceptions than it did of Hitler.
