I always return and routinely review tests, but with specific (and sometimes exclusive) attention to the items identified in the item analysis that did not discriminate well or that were missed by a large percentage of the class. This helps us talk about reliability, validity, categorization and nosology, and all other kinds of things, and also allows me to award the odd point or two to the class to correct poorly discriminating questions (modeling other stuff as well, I suppose).
