I may have done that, but then I can turn the TV on hours later and when I select a channel, the Status Bar lights up half way across, so that if I did want to record this program, it would be starting in the middle of the bar. When I play it back, it ends halfway through the hour.
I don't understand what the 30-minute buffer means. Usually, whenever I set up a program to tape it started at the beginning of the Status Bar and taped the whole hour. This other problem has just happened a few times recently. Actually, what prompted me to ask about this was when I just came home and turned on a live program and the Status Bar was at the half way mark just turning it on. I hadn't tried to tape the channel but if I did it would only get half the show starting at this point as it happened before. I found that if I hit record say ten minutes into the program, it will not record the show from the beginning, but just from the point that I pressed Record. Only one time that I recall it recorded from the start even though it was already into the hour. This is watching Live, that I am referring to. But if I set up to record and that marker is at the halfway mark w/o me knowing it, it ends halfway. I don't know why the marker on the Status Bar gets stuck at that point. Sandra Were you watching something Live and then hit record? The TiVo only maintains a 30-minute buffer, so it can never keep more than that going back. Another thing that can happen is that if the guide data said, say, that there was an episode from 9-9:30, and then 9:30-10, and you were watching Live and hit record after 9:30, it records the current show - starting at 9:30. We'd need more details about what was being recorded and how it was set to record to narrow it down. -MZ -- <URL:mailto:megazoneatmegazone.org> Gweep, Discordian, Author, Engineer, me.
