Much to my surprise, with rabbit ears my TV detected 18 digital channels.
Watching Nature with HD was, all I can say is WOW! I am going to have to
explore a new Tivo now.

Shadowing shouldn't be a problem with digital content. You can
easily
check it out on your HD tv by plugging in some old rabbit ear antenna's
if you have any lying around. Only difference between the rabbit ear's
and the other types are that if you are very far from the station some
of the other antenna types are better.
