Yes and yes. And that's what I figured. It is HDMI sync. It happens to me once in a while. Rebooting the TiVo should bot be necessary, try rotating through the TV's inputs. Works for me - switching to some other input then back to the TiVo's HDMI forces a new HDMI handshake.
