Could you please explain what you mean by 'rotating through the TV's inputs'? What Remote would I use to do that, because I use the TiVo Remote for everything on the TV.

It happens to me once in a while. Rebooting the TiVo should bot be necessary, try rotating through the TV's inputs. Works for me - switching to some other input then back to the TiVo's HDMI forces a new HDMI handshake.
