From: Nadim Kobeissi <[email protected]> > Just noting for the record that...is a former AD….
Being a WG chair or an AD is a challenging role. Until one has worked in such a role you do not really fully understand it, you can never please everyone, and your approach is easily criticized. So, I applaud anyone that serves the community in those roles. And I think the WG is better served by all of us keeping focus on the technical questions at hand. Open standards development does not work if we cannot be collegial and collaborative. There will always be technical agreements, just as the sun rises each day; we just have to work through them together in a friendly and open way. Sometimes people will be in the rough and unhappy at that (I know from experience) and then you move on. JL
