The last visit I had to my provider, she gave me two steroid shots in my lower back one on each side and it has been a God-send. I cannot believe how it helped and is still helping after about 6 weeks!! Jeanne

Linda, mine are steroids - different kinds. It helps the sharp nerve pain going down my legs. The doc gives it to me
in my lower back and it goes down to lower calf. They use different things on me depending on where the pain is.
I know you were asking Ella, but I jumped in too. It is my pain management doc who does this. Janice

I think I may have missed a post so sorry if this has already been answered. Ella, what "medicine" is in the shots? I've never heard of getting shots for the pain. I might want some of that!

I had 2 shots before Christmas but for me the pain diminished slightly for about a month and then again it was winter and the temps here are in the single digits.
