Ratan ji,

I want to pledge Rs 1000/- for this case. But I want to make sure the money
goes direct for the kids educational benefit and the father of the kids never
gets a chance to touch it. I can ask the money to be transferred directly to
indian account if it is okay with you.

Thanks,
Uday

Subject: [tomakeadifference] A new case on Education

Hi All,
Today one case came to my knowledge when one of my staff asked if I
have old dresses of my daughter. When asked 'why?' she replied that
one ayyamma who works in my floor, needs those for her daughters.
Poor lady is having 2 daughters. One is LKG and the other is in Class-
I. Husband is an auto-driver, takes the auto on daily-rent and spends
the money on drinking after paying of the auto-rent. He suggests to
pull out the daughters from school as he is nt interested to fund
them for studies. The mother, being interested in education of the
kids, saves whatever she can and sends the kids to school. She walks
5km one-way everyday so that she can save Rs.3 on bus-fare. I assured
her today that I will be paying her bus-fare (hardly Rs.150 a month)
every month and she need not walk down all these distance.
Her concern is the monthly fee, uniform and books for the kids. Can
we take up this case? Its not a govt.school, so books are not free. The cost of
this
project would be less than Rs.5000 for the whole year I feel.
Please let me know your suggestions.
Ratan
