Watchdog is an official TCK, so it's probably a little off focus to put Tomcat-specific performance workloads there. What I'm talking about is not generic at all, it's a Tomcat-specific development tool (like the internal regression tests) and of little interest outside Tomcat I'm iffy on commons and JMeter as well. (Costin, this one's for background, not for you :-), but: I agree that writing a totally generic "webapp performance suite" is difficult and of limited use. That's not what I'm proposing, ref the "benchmarks" thread for details. > ( or a -tomcat repository for all tests ) ? > Do you mean move the current set of regression tests out of j-t-4/tester and j-t-4/src/catalina/test into a new repository? I agree that it's reasonable to put the Tomcat-specific regression tests and profiling workloads together in the same place. I'd like to see them all together with the normal source download, because developers should (in theory) re-run the tests before checking in changes. But since Tomcat is already divided up into multiple repositories, I'm not going to object as long as all the tomcat-specific developer tools/tests are together. -- Christopher St. John [EMAIL PROTECTED] DistribuTopia http://www.distributopia.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
