Howdy, The HTML GUI you refer to is for the Admin webapp, not the Manager webapp I was referring to. I agree the documentation for both is not as complete and clear as it could be. Bluntly put, I don't care enough about this to spend bandwidth on it. However, I am glad to receive feedback like yours and glad you spent time researching it. If you could take the existing Manager webapp, enhance it to include your findings, and send an updated version to the list, it would be much appreciated and eventually will likely find its way to the official site documentation.

When you start the tomcat it will create file2 and all the proper directory under file2. I don't want to affect user which are using the Web application under file by stopping the Tomcat and restarting Tomcat.
