Very nice to have / painful to live without
- You can't add an attachment and make other changes to a bug in the same
transaction (other than adding a comment).
While this is certainly irritating (adding attachments when filing a bug
in the first place would be the most helpful to me personally), it's
arguably a "nice to have" compared to some other requirements:
- Add the attachment and hit "commit", optionally checking "skip
notification" to not send email first.
- Then add your text and save the bug again.
Equally (and sometimes more) annoying is the inability to reopen a bug
and make other changes such as changing assigned owner, category,
severity, etc. at the same time.
Nice to have
- Saved custom searches are great, but it'd also be nice to have saved
custom bug templates, for those of us who file a lot of bugs. I
believe there's similar functionality in the bugster GUI. Bookmarkable
templates aren't the same -- I want links down at the bottom of my
page.
I realize this is a personal preference, but this one seems survivable.
Create a bookmark toolbar folder in firefox and put the bookmarks
there, in which case you have a drop-down menu of templates.
Other Differences
- There's no concept of "initial evaluator", as distinct from the aliases
that get a copy of every single bug mail.
Does the "default assignee" for each category cover this?
Hugh.
