The generic underlying principle at least from my side is consistency. It avoids many questions.
When I read owl2 primer I thought: he, what happened to RDF/XML Abbrev. ? (etc.). When people start using tbc after having read the primer they come up with questions like: he, I see all kinds of syntax forms not in the primer but those IN the primer are not all supported! Well, you get my point... -----Original Message----- From: Jeremy Carroll [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: woensdag 18 november 2009 16:04 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [tbc-users] OWL 2 XML Serializtion Bohms, H.M. This is what is required for interoperation with other semantic web tools. We also support some others. Our choices are based on what we think will be helpful for many of our users. I think also several of the TopBraid developers feel more comfortable with n3/turtle, and, since we, from time to time, actually have to read this files, having formats that the TopBraid developers can read more easily is very helpful. So, I am intrigued ... do you want OWL/XML format because you want to read it? Because you have other tools that work with OWL/XML but not with RDF/XML? or ... what is the underlying requirement driving this request?
