"Play and listen - AB comparisons - it was pretty obvious to me.. " ... and that isn't an opinion? The Touch is a completely different design to the Duet. In my opinion (!) no amount of Duet mods will improve it over a stock Touch. There seems to be something about the implementation of the Touch headphone circuit that could be improved, since it appears that if headphones are connected AND a USB drive is connected, there is some degradation. This should be measurable with ADM and I hope to do such a test soon. I have no preconception about what the results will be. However, if you record the analogue output of a Duet or SB3 and compare back to the original wav file via ADM and repeat with the Touch you will find that the Touch is closer to the truth (ie closer to the original file). -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
