Maybe. The thing is as the ReadyNas Duo is sold as a "everything to everyman" it makes sense to have it do raid, backup to an external usb, file share, video stream to ps3 AND stream the audio. It's obvious perhaps that wasn't what it was intended for. But to have all files central at once source (the NAS) is idea if only it had the power! Wonder if the nas can be over-clocked........ :-)
