I've had SBS on a ReadyNAS Duo controlled via iPeng for over an year now. SB devices on wifi and the NAS wired to the wireless router. The performance is quite decent, but occasionally it becomes slightly unresponsive. For example starting or skipping a song might take 10 seconds. I have no problems playing an album uninterrupted. iPeng certainly feels faster than the web interface. I think this is because iPeng caches album/track/artwork. In general things have been noticeably faster since upgrading from SBS 7.4 to 7.5.x.
